– 6 liters room temperature water

– 3 cups granulated sugar

– 2.5 cups browned sugar syrup

1. Combine malted Guinea corn powder and water in a large, clean pot.

2. Boil for 1 hour on medium heat, monitoring closely to prevent frothing and spills. A wooden ladle can help control froth.

3. Add browned sugar syrup to the boiled mixture, stirring thoroughly.

4. Strain using a metal mesh and cheesecloth or a fine-mesh fabric.

5. Add granulated sugar (adjust to taste) and mix well.

6. Allow the mixture to cool completely.

7. Serve chilled, with ice if desired.
